Our initiatives are designed to onboard new staff members and build a strong UX/UI community for designers and frontend developers.
Collaborative design sessions
The UX Office hosts weekly sessions for community brainstorming, design critique, problem solving, and collaborative work. Anyone is welcome, from product owners and developers to writers and designers. Just bring your laptop and be ready to discuss your project.
We can help address specific questions and offer assistance as needed. Our sessions are a place to discuss a variety of design and frontend development topics, including UX/UI design, information architecture, Rivet, good practices, and accessibility.
Many people work on teams as the lone designer or without the benefit of UX/UI designers. Collaborative Design Sessions are a great way to take advantage of the community’s collective knowledge and expertise.

Design Partners program
UXO’s user experience and interface designers have partnered with other IU designers to meet with on a weekly basis. During these meetings, each partner can give and receive feedback, share successes and challenges, and discuss design issues and solutions.
We believe that each designer, regardless of background and experience, has a wealth of perspectives and strengths that can inform good design.
